Some of you already know that I have spent the past few days being FAR too excited, once again, about the 1980 BBC Television Shakespeare production of Hamlet with Derek Jacobi as Hamlet, Lalla Ward as Ophelia, Patrick Stewart as Claudius, and Claire Bloom as Gertrude. Mainly for Lalla Ward.

I have also been practicing image editing skills a bit, and have advanced fairly significantly since my last set of icons, I think, in the art of cutting Lalla Ward out of pictures and putting her into different ones. (Largely by doing the cutting *before* shrinking her to icon size, which I should've thought of before.) As witness the icon on this post--the original background was a crowd. I have not yet tried this technique on anyone who isn't Lalla Ward but I assume it transfers. She does have the advantage of quite smooth hair though.

And then I found myself with a transparent Ophelia to do what I liked with, so I pasted her into my other favorite Hamlet:

Edit of Lalla Ward as Ophelia in Tudor costume and David Tennant as Hamlet in modern dress.

Or it's Ten/Romana. You know. Whichever you want.

They are skeptical.

Do let me know whether you can see the image, I think I've embedded it properly but I'm not certain!
