I'm mainly active on Tumblr, where I have the same username, but I keep seeing things on Dreamwidth I wish I could participate in, so I made this for commenting mainly. I may also cross-post some of my fic.
If I already know you from Tumblr or elsewhere and I run across you here, I'll probably follow you--do let me know if you prefer to be interacted with in one place or the other.
ETA: I would also appreciate tips for what groups I should be looking at/active in/following! I like Doctor Who mainly, and fic prompts, and new Doctor Who genfic ideas especially.

Date: 2021-11-07 01:56 pm (UTC)Yes, iot's very quiet here, even compared to what it used to be, but there are still some places you might like to try.
You can see if you can find more people you'd like to friend at
For Doctor Who things, there is
More generally, you can find yourself some icons for use when commenting & posting (even on a free account you get up to 15, is it? 13?) at
Most fests, prompt memes & new comms will advertise at
Obviously, you're part of Yuletide already, so you know you can add
For prompts, the main active ones, which are good fun, are all the bingos - I like
For individual fests & exchanges, they will advertise on
But it has got so quiet, that the key lies in gradually building up your flist (circle), because comm life is not what it was back in the day on LJ!

Date: 2021-11-08 02:33 am (UTC)I am Not Allowed (by me) to sign up for anything else until I finish my Yuletide assignment (the issue is that even if the deadline doesn't conflict, having A Thing To Do clutters my brain and prevents me doing other Things), but I do very much want to claim one of your lovely prompt tables when that day comes.
I'm also sad to see that straybunnies hasn't been active, because I think it's such a good idea! I am constantly coming up with ideas that I'm self-aware enough to know aren't the kind of thing I'd be good at or enjoy writing, but someone should. I'm glad the comm exists, anyway.
fandomcalendar is something I very much need in my life....
Thanks so much for the warm welcome!

Date: 2021-11-08 08:53 am (UTC)And I mean, you could post to
I know what you mean about deadlines - I rarely sign up for more than one fest/exchange at a time, as yes, the thing nags at you! all the time! I find bingos & prompt tables which are often deadline-free or as good as can go in the ongoing project bit of my brain & co-exist. But OTOH my progress is then terribly slow!

I hope you have fun here at DW, and manage to find some prompts. Mmm... Prompts...

Date: 2021-11-20 05:32 am (UTC)I have found some awesome challenge-y things which I am not letting myself start on until a Yuletide fic occurs. Motivation!
