Here is my list of characters!

1. Horatio (Hamlet)
2. Charley Pollard (Doctor Who - I'm not sure I'm legally allowed to do a meme without her)
3. Ray (Doctor Who, Delta and the Bannermen)
4. Annie Hacker (Yes, Minister)
5. Mell Kelly (Narbonic)
6. Data (Star Trek)
7. Cally (Blake's 7 - and I still haven't finished her episodes, so while I do know an amount of spoilers that distresses my more experienced friends, you should probably not tell me specific things that happen to her just in case I don't know. But I love her and she's going in the meme.)
8. Macbeth (Macbeth)
9. Verity Kindle (Oxford Time Travel)
10. Lottie Grote (Bad Machinery)
11. Tristan Farnon (All Creatures Great and Small)
12. Margaret Lyons (Welcome to Our Village, Please Invade Carefully)
13. Alan Breck Stewart (Kidnapped)
14. Joanna Sheraton (The Windrose Chronicles)
15. Clara Oswald (Doctor Who)

From [personal profile] thisbluespirit:

1 [Horatio], 6 [Data], and 14 [Joanna] go on a road trip. Whose idea is it, who drives, and who gets left behind?
Data wanted to experience this human thing! Joanna is the only one who can drive, and she doesn't let people drive who can't drive (cf. Antryg), so she's driving. Horatio answered a phone call from Hamlet when they stopped for gas, and two hours later they decided to just leave him.

2 [Charley], 3 [Ray] and 12 [Margaret] are locked in a cell together for a night. Do they get out, what crimes have they committed, and do they all survive the night?
Well, Charley and Ray have definitely both been led astray by their mutual friend; and if Margaret's there, I can only assume the Doctor was getting involved in Cresdon Green's affairs and his friends are now locked in the closet off of Uljabaan's office. Margaret certainly wasn't helping, but perhaps there was some massive misunderstanding. Or perhaps she was in the closet looking for a dustcloth (the state of this place!) and nobody saw her when they locked up Ray and Charley. The companions escape rather quickly (throwing off the Doctor, who is about ten minutes late to rescue them), but Margaret won't go out the window, she waits in the closet to give Uljabaan a piece of her mind in the morning.

15 [Clara] has been murdered! Can 4 [Annie] solve the mystery with the help of their trusty sidekick, 7 [Cally]? Why is 8 [Macbeth] a red herring? And, out of the remaining numbers, who did it?
Annie Hacker and Cally will be a fantastic mystery-solving team, I'm in love with this idea. Macbeth is a red herring because he is quite visibly racked with guilt over a murder--just not Clara's. The most violent of the remaining characters is probably Mell Kelly (Evil Intern in a mad scientist's lab) who is fond of enormous weaponry and has enough meta-awareness to pick up on the fact that Clara is a splinter and must inevitably die once she's saved the Doctor. So she streamlined the narrative. She'll be fine, though--she's also studying law.

From [personal profile] ceruleantactician:

3 [Ray], 5 [Mell] and 6 [Data] spend the afternoon trying to put together some IKEA furniture. How does it all turn out?
Data would love putting together IKEA furniture (much as I do). Ray would be a valiant contributor and would be intrigued by Data's android nature, so she'd enjoy that. She'd also be great at it as long as she wasn't required to use the dinky little Allen key it comes with. Mell gets bored and wanders away in about five minutes, unless Helen (her boss, the Evil Mad Scientist) is there, in which case they build some kind of doomsday device instead of IKEA furniture. But it probably doesn't work without Dave (the lab's IT guy).

10 [Lottie] and 11 [Tristan] have been recruited by 7 [Cally] for an undercover mission to rescue 4 [Annie]. Are they able to work together to complete the mission, and how does it all turn out in the end?
Well, Cally's got to rescue her new detective partner! Why she needs a schoolgirl and a veterinary student is less clear to me. I mean, Lottie thinks it's perfectly natural for Cally to enlist the help of one of Tackleford's top mystery solvers, but Lottie has an interesting view of her own place in the universe. And perhaps she needs Tristan to do voices on the phone (he's very good at this). I don't know. I think Cally is going to be carrying a lot of the weight in this partnership. I feel like she could get more effective help to rescue the Prime Minister's wife. Like, I don't know, MI6? But perhaps she doesn't trust the powers that be. Understandable, given her background. She'll probably pull it off, and her assistants will do their best, but... honestly, Cally!

13 [Alan] and 14 [Joanna] are told that in order to accomplish some goal that they both find compelling, they must spend a month together without leaving the other's side. What is their reaction?
They've both put up with much, much worse in the service of goals they find compelling. Joanna might take the opportunity to learn some of Alan's 'walking all the way down Scotland' skills. What I am curious about is what goal they both find compelling! Possibly it is walking all the way down Scotland.

1 [Horatio], 2 [Charley], and 6 [Data] end up trapped in some place together. They are told that they have to beat 15 [Clara] at some task, challenge, or game in order to leave. What do they pick and how do they fare?
...Do they all have to participate? Because otherwise they could pick something like calculating digits of pi in your head, and Data could beat anyone at that. But if it has to be all of them, and Clara has to agree to it, I think they'd pick some kind of word game. Data has a lot of knowledge, Charley plays Scrabble, and Horatio went to university, you know, and therefore speaks Latin and is qualified to talk to ghosts. Clara holds her own well, but the other three work together well enough to gang up on her and get out.

5 [Mell] and 9 [Verity] are on a sinking ship. What do they do?
Nothing sensible! Verity, who is a time traveller, is looking for her drop to get back to Oxford 2060--she wasn't meant to die on the Titanic or whatever it is--while Mell, by the rules of her universe, probably sinks with the ship, but turns out to have a diving suit at the last moment and discovers a secret conspiracy on the ocean floor. That's just what being in Narbonic is like. Neither of them notices the other.

3 [Ray], 10 [Lottie], 11 [Tristan], and 13 [Alan] are forced to live in the same house for a month. What happens?
I feel like there ought to be hilarious consequences, but I don't think I'm hilarious enough to work out what they are! Lottie confides startling schemes to Ray at two in the morning. Lottie and Tristan either have a prank war on each other or gang up to annoy everybody else. (Hooray for Yorkshire!) If there's murder done, it'll be Alan getting fed up with Tristan.

7 [Cally] is told that they can pick up to three of the other people on the list to take along for an around-the-world all-expenses-paid trip. Who do they choose and why?
Annie Hacker, of course, her new best friend and ally, according to the previous questions! No, seriously, the meme has convinced me. Then I think she'd like Joanna, a small unimposing indomitable woman, and maybe Alan Breck? We have never seen Cally apart from Men With Politics, have we? Of people I think she might actually like, those two seem most likely to enjoy a round-the-world trip.

I think that if I do this again, I may pick characters who have slightly more to do with each other. Or at least a Theme. This was fun but it was quite hard in some cases!
