Fic: "Narcissus," Six & Peri, drabble, G

In spite of being Six & Peri, this is spoilery for the latest-at-time-of-posting episode of Doctor Who Flux (Village of the Angels).
Warning for major character sort-of-death.
Struck by that AWFUL CLIFFHANGER in which the Doctor is turning into a Weeping Angel (I can't think about anything else this week!), the awesome artist dyonisia96 on Tumblr imagined her favorite TARDIS team, Seven & Ace, in the same situation. Do click on the link and enjoy her art: "I colored an angsty sketch the other day"
So I was inspired to do the same for one of my favorites, Six & Peri. Only I can't draw, so I wrote a drabble:
“Peri,” he gasped before his mouth changed. “Don’t come any closer. Don’t touch me.”
She reached out to him, horrified but brave. Believing, poor girl, that her love and fidelity would be enough to save him, stop him becoming a monster.
“I won’t be in control. You must get away. The TARDIS—”
Just too late, as his voice froze into stone, he remembered Peri’s pocket mirror. That would trap him, Narcissus-like, under his own gaze. It wouldn’t save him—nothing could save him now—but Peri could get away.
Perhaps she’d think of the mirror trick herself. She had before.
It feels spammy to post the same thing to ao3, Tumblr, and here, when pretty much all the same people follow me in each place, but I really like the idea of having my fic readable in two places so it's not as dependent on one archive. So on Dreamwidth it will continue to go.
